Depart from Durban at 7am and travel past Pietermaritzburg to Howick Falls. Howick Falls is a waterfall in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The waterfall is approximately 95 m in height (310 feet) and lies on the Umgeni River. The Zulu people called the falls KwaNogqaza, which means "Place of the Tall One".

From Howick Falls we proceed to Nelson Mandela Capture Site. Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside Howick,
Natal, South Africa. He spent the next 27 years of his life in prison.

The Nelson Mandela Capture Site commemorates this moment in history with a visitor centre (museum) and a world renowned sculpture.
